The Teqball Secondary School Challenger’s Cup 2025 concluded successfully today at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in Berakas. The tournament, which featured the Men’s Singles category, brought together young athletes from six secondary schools across the nation. Organised to encourage youth participation in the emerging sport of Teqball, the event was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Education through the Co-Curriculum Education Department.

The Guest of Honor was Sukardi bin Kaderi, Senior Education Officer and Head of the Physical and Recreation Division, Department of Co-Curriculum Education. He attended the event to witness the third-place playoff and the finals and later officiated the prize presentation ceremony alongside Mohammad Shukri bin Haji Damit, President of the Brunei Darussalam Teqball Association.
Emerging as champion was Md Hanis Hidayatullah bin Abdullah from Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam. In the finals, Hanis delivered a dominant performance against Mohd Akmal Amirul Syazlan bin Mohd Sairual Rizal from Sekolah Sukan, winning the match in straight sets, 12–6 and 12–7.




The third-place playoff featured Md Nurizmawi bin Md Rizal from Sekolah Menengah Katok and Muhammad Azri Haikal bin Hamdilah from Sekolah Sukan. Nurizmawi showcased strong form by winning both sets convincingly, 12–3 and 12–8.



Participating schools included Sekolah Menengah Katok, Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam, Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Jaya Negara Haji Abu Bakar, Sekolah Menengah Rimba, Sekolah Sukan, and Sekolah Menengah Pehin Dato Seri Maharaja.
